Agriclinic and Agribusiness Centres Scheme - NABARD (Central)

Description : This programme offered by the Ministry of Agriculture and NABARD aims to tap the expertise available in the large pool of Agriculture Graduates. Irrespective of whether a fresh graduate or not, or whether currently employed or not, one can set up your own AgriClinic or AgriBusiness Centre and offer professional extension services to innumerable farmers. Agribusiness Centres would provide paid services for enhancement of agriculture production and income of farmers. It provides free 2 months training to set up the centre as well as bank loans and credit linked back ended composite subsidy for project costs upto Rs. 20 lakh for individual projects and Rs.100 lakhs for a group project.Eligibility : 1. Graduates in agriculture and allied subjects from State Agriculture Universities (SAUs)/Central Agricultural Universities/Universities recognised by ICAR/UGC. Degree in Agriculture and allied subjects offered by other agencies are also considered subject to approval of Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, GoI, on recommendation of the State Government. 2. Diploma (with at least 50% marks)/Post Graduate Diploma holders in Agriculture and allied subjects from State Agricultural Universities, State Agriculture and Allied Departments and State Department of Technical Education. 3. Diploma in Agriculture and allied subjects offered by other agencies are also considered subject to approval of Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers’ Welfare, GoI on recommendation of the State Government. 4. Biological Science Graduates with Post Graduation in Agriculture & allied subjects 5. Degree courses recognised by UGC having more than 60 percent of the course content in Agriculture and allied subjects 6. Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma courses with more than 60 percent of course content in Agriculture and allied subjects, after B.Sc. with Biological Sciences, from recognised colleges and universities. 7. Agriculture related courses at Intermediate (i.e. plus two) level, with at least 55% marks. 8. Graduates allied to Agriculture like Horticulture, Sericulture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Dairy, Poultry Farming, and Fisheries, etc. are also eligible.Process : 1. Application will be advertised by Nodal Training Institutes (NTIs) via newspaper, radio or any other suitable media. 2. To avail the application form, visit a NTI (Link to list of NTIs and list of ventures is given in the links section) or apply online through the Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centres website- https://acabcmis.gov.in/ApplicantReg.aspx 3. Fill the form with correct details and required documents. Note down the applicant code. 4. After scrutiny of all applications received, selected candidates will be called for interview. 5. Number of batches per NTI will depend on infrastructural and other facilities. Maximum 35 candidates will be selected per batch. 6. During the training, trainees will be facilitated to choose a venture and to prepare DPR based on market survey, hands on experience with the support of experienced bankers. Techno-economic feasibility of their proposals will be done. 7. Those completing the training can apply for special start-up loans for venture with DPR to the banks in their area. Loan for starting a venture will be granted by Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks, State Cooperative Banks, State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks and other institutions eligible for refinance from NABARD. 8. Projects are to be completed within 6 months from date of release of first instalment of loan. *Agriclinics provide expert advice and services to farmers on Soil health,Cropping practices,Plant protection,Crop insurance,Post-harvest technology etc to increase productivity of crops/animals and increase the incomes of farmers. *Agribusiness Centres are commercial units of agri-ventures whose activities include maintenance and custom hiring of farm equipment, sale of inputs and other services in agriculture and allied areas.
