Description : The scheme provides a monthly pension of ₹ 1500 to destitute aged persons residing in Maharashtra.Eligibility : 1. Destitute aged persons of 65 years and above. 2. Persons belonging to Below Poverty Line family 3. Family annual income should be less than Rs 21000, and if the beneficiary is disabled then the annual income limit of family is Rs 50000 4. State- Maharashtra 5. Persons should be the residents of the state for minimum 15 years.Process : 1. Approach either local Talathi office or block/ district office of Social Justice and Special Assistance Department. 2. Avail the form and submit it with documents mentioned below. 3. List of final beneficiaries will be put out in the office where application was done. 4. The money is transferred to beneficiary’s bank or post account. The department will suggest opening of a bank account if you do not have one already.

*For certification of income, if no income certificate is available, prepare a certificate in the given format and get it signed by Tahsildar or Sub-divisional officer. *Citizen will have to provide a letter that he/she is not being looked after by their children. A Talathi officer can come and verify this and give this letter with a stamp.Benefit : ₹ 1500 per month pension
