Breed Multiplication Farms under Rashtriya Gokul Mission (Central)

Description : Under Rashtriya Gokul Mission a 50% capital subsidy (limited to Rs. 2.00 Crore) to the interested dairy farmer for the construction of cattle sheds, equipment, procurement of elite bull mothers, etc. The entrepreneur will establish a breed multiplication farm (BMF) and produce elite heifers using sexed semen or IVF technology. Breed multiplication farm is proposed to be established through an entrepreneurship model for making available high genetic merit heifers (HGM) to farmers to fulfill their need of general shortage of such animals.

  • Eligible dairy farmers will be provided with one-time assistance from the Central Government for the establishment of a breeder farm @ 50% of the project cost up to Rs 2 crore
  • Eligible dairy farmers in North Eastern and Hilly States will be provided with one-time assistance from the Central Government for the establishment of breeder farms @ 50% of project cost up to Rs 50 lakh This scheme is implemented through the National Dairy Development Board’s (NDDB) as the project’s implementing agency. The subsidy will be released directly to the beneficiary loan account through NDDB.Eligibility : Must be a dairy farmer. Age must be greater than 18. Must own landProcess : 1. NDDB will float an expression of interest for submission of the project as per the guidelines of the scheme.
  1. First, the applicant needs to sign up through the NDDB portal: https://eoi.nddb.coop/
  2. Fill in all the details in the form provided and click on “Register”.
  3. After registration farmer have to login to the same portal.
  4. An application window will open, click on “Apply for breed multiplication farmer”.
  5. Fill all the required details and the applicant will formulate a bankable proposal as per guidelines and submit the proposal directly to NDDB. The applicant will also tie up with a bank/financial institution to obtain 50% of the project cost as loan.
  6. Eligible projects will be recommended by the Implementing Agency (NDDB) to the concerned bank/ financial institution for loan sanctioning.
  7. First installment of the 50% of the subsidy amount will be released after approval of the project by DAHD and after bank/financial institution releasing the 1st tranche into the loan account of applicant.
  8. After the receipt of the report from the Implementing Agency that full infrastructure is in place and animals have been inducted another 25% of the subsidy amount will be released.
  9. After receipt of the report from the Implementing Agency that the births of 10% of calves have been completed at the farm, the remaining balance of 25% of the subsidy amount will be made available to the entrepreneur.Benefit : Dairy farmers will be provided with one-time assistance from the Central Government for the establishment of a breeder farm @ 50% of the project cost up to Rs 2 crore
