Passport (Central)
Description : This document enables the bearer to travel internationally and serves as proof of Indian citizenshipEligibility : for allProcess : (a)Online process:
- Register at https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink#
- Click on “new user registration” button.
- Fill in the required details in the form and submit.
- Click the “Pay and Schedule Appointment” link on the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” screen to schedule an appointment. (Note :Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all PSK/POPSK/PO)
- Click the “Print Application Receipt” link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number. 6.Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional Passport Office (RPO) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents. (Note: Carrying printout of Application Receipt is no longer required. An SMS with your appointment details is also accepted as proof of appointment during your visit to Passport Office.) (b)Offline process:
- Go to Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) / Mini Passport Seva Kendra (Mini PSK) / District Passport Cell (DPC) /Select Speed Post Centre(s) (SPC) / Citizen Service Centre (CSC) in your district / within the jurisdiction of your Passport Office.
- Fill the application form and book an appointment after paying the fees.
- Go to the PSK location mentioned in the application receipt on the appointment date with original proofs and documents.
- After Police Verification you will receive your passport within 3 working days to your address.Benefit :
