Description : Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme was initiated by the Government of India to increase the income of farmers and provide sources for irrigation and de-dieselize the farm sector. Under this Component, individual farmers can replace their existing diesel pumps with solar pumps up to 10 HP. The total cost involved in this scheme is divided into 2 categories in which the Government will help farmers.Eligibility : 1. Must be resident of Uttar Pradesh 2. Must be a Farmer 3. Age should be above 18 years 4. There should be a source of irrigation. 5. Should have land for agriculture.Process : 1. Applicant has to register on the UP Agriculture portal: https://agriculture.up.gov.in/ 2. A User ID and Password will be generated, which can be used to apply for various subsidy schemes. 3. Applicants need to log in with their newly created credentials. 4. Click on the ‘PM Kusum’ tab to fill in all the details. 5.Select the Solar Pump from “3 HP to 10 HP” depending upon the requirement. 6. After the selection of the pump, the applicant has to mandatorily submit the token amount of Rs. 5000 through Internet banking. 7. Once the token amount is submitted an application number will be generated for future reference. 8. After submission of the application, the department will check all the details of the farmer and select the farmer on ‘first come first serve’ basis. Selected farmers will get a notification on their registered mobile number to submit the remaining amount within specific dates to any “Indian Bank branch” via Challan or Internet Banking. 9. The farmer can submit their share amount by visiting the nearby “Indian Bank” along with a Challan form which includes the name of the farmer, selection number, type of pump, etc. 10. After submitting the remaining amount, three receipts will be given to the farmer: 1st receipt will be kept by the bank, 2nd will be given to the farmer, and 3rd receipt the farmer needs to submit to the district Agriculture Department 11. After submission of receipt, the department will do field verification and approve the installation of the pump via vendor.Benefit : Subsidy upto 60% for installation of solar agriculture pumps up to 10 Hp
