Description : The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses. Eligibility :

1. Students should have not less than 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level.
2. Family annual income should not exceed ₹250000 3 Must belong to minority community (Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis & Jains).
3. Scholarship is awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
4. Renewal of scholarship depends on successful completion of the course during the preceding year and securing not less than 50% marks.
5. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the same course.
6. Students who get admission to a college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship. Process :
7. Applicant have to apply for the scheme through the National scholarship Portal. The link given below : https://scholarships.gov.in/
8. After opening the link, the applicant must register.
9. It is mandatory to provide information about AADHAR and Bank Account.
10. Once the login ID and password are generated, fill the application form.
11. Applicant will then be shown the schemes for which he/she is eligible.
12. After a scheme is selected, upload the required documents and submit the final application form.

Note:

1. Application open in July to November
2. 50% of the seats will be reserved for girls.
3. Scholarship will not be given to more than two students from a family.

*If the number of scholarships exceeds the number of students in first year, then the scholarship can be awarded to second, third and fourth year students. However, 1st year gets priority over second year and so on. *The student will have to pursue the course on a whole time basis. *The scholarship is restricted to the top ones on merit basis. *Preference is given to student with lower parental income. *The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment can directly transfer the funds to the bank account of the candidate on advice of the institution or else the amount is transferred to the institute after the information related to the student taking admission is submitted.Benefit : Scholarship upto ₹30000 per year + full course fee reimbursement for 85 listed Institutes
