Description : This scheme provides scholarships (Up to ₹ 15000 per annum) to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority communities so as to provide them with better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.Eligibility : 1. Should belong to minority community i.e. Muslim,Christian,Sikh,Buddhist,Jain,Parsi community 2. Applicant must be pursuing a post-matric course (duration of the course should not be less than one year). 3. Should have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and must have passed in first attempt. 4. Applicant must not be availing any other scholarship by the govt. 5. The Annual income of parents/guardians of the applicant (from all sources) should be less than or equal to ₹ 200000 6. Applicant must not be the third sibling in his/her family who has been given this scholarship.Process : *Applications usually opens in month of June. Application deadline is fixed by government every year(Usually November Month). *Minority communities eligible under this scheme: Muslim, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians, Jains and Zoroastrians. *Renewal Of Scholarship:- Applicant has to provide a certificate that she/he has secured 50% marks in the previous year’s examination, pursued from the same school/institute.

1. Go to the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in/) and Register yourself by creating a new account.
2. Go to https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newstdRegfrmInstruction . Click on “Login to Apply”. Enter your Application ID and password.
3. After Logged in, applicant can set a new password and ID by verifying the OTP received on registered mobile number.
4. Applicant will be redirected to Applicant’s Dashboard from there applicant can fill the “Application Form” can upload required documents.
5. After submitting the form online, applicants have to print the form from the website & submit along with all the required documents to the college/institute for verification.
6. Applicant can view the status of your application on “Applicant’s Dashboard”.
7. After approval, scholarship amount will be deposited in applicant’s Aadhar linked bank account.

There are annual quotas for every state and community and selection will be made as per the quota.Benefit : Up to ₹ 15000 per annum.
