Description : This scheme aims to provide maternity benefits to women belonging to socially & economically disadvantaged society.This benefit is provided to woman for the first two living child considering second child to be a girl.Eligibility : 1. Applicant should be a female & pregnant/lactatingProcess : Offline-

1. To avail the scheme, women have to register her pregnancy in the Mother & Child Health (MCP) card at the public health centre within 150 days of last missed period( LMP). Thereafter women can apply for maternity benefits at Anganwadi center or to ASHA worker within 730 days from LMP date or 460 days from child birth. 2. Women will get the benefit amount in 2 installments, first instalment of ₹ 3000 and the second instalment of ₹ 2000 (forms for both the installment will be filled seperately on different timings) 3.. This amount will be transferred directly into the bank account of beneficiary women Note: Aadhar card should be linked to the bank account

Online- If a female has registered her pregnancy in the nearest Anganwadi and also recived the MCP card then she can do the self resgistration in the following manner-

1 Self registration for women can be done after Citizen LogIn on PMVY portal (https://pmmvy.wcd.gov.in/ ) 2. The details like Addhar No./MCP Card No./Nearest Anganwadi/Ante natal check up date, etc will be asked for the registration. 3. Post filling the details, the apllication will be submitted and a confirmation msg with an beneficiary ID will be received on beneficiary’s mobile number within 24 hrs.Benefit : Maternity benefit of ₹ 5000 for 1st child and ₹ 6000 for second child(if it is a girl child)
