Description : Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to farmers for establishing plastic lining for the existing farm ponds. The subsidy is up to 50% of the total cost which can be maximum up to Rs. 75000/-. Only those farmers who are cultivating horticulture crops are eligible to get benefit under this scheme.

Farm pond could have been dug earlier under other schemes like MGNREGS, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, Farm Pond on Demand, Millet Mission, National Food Security Mission etc. Preference will be given to SC/ST and women farmers. Farmer should not have taken benefit for this activity under any other scheme.Eligibility : 1. Person should be resident of Maharashtra 2. Person should be farmer. 3. Person should own agricultural land. 4. Age of the person should be more than 18 years.Process : 1. When the application window opens the interested farmers need to register on https://hortnet.gov.in/. 2. While registration they have to upload documents like application form, 7/12 document, photocopy of bank passbook, Aadhar card, bond in a prescribed format. 3. Detailed proposal is also required to be submitted to the block agriculture officer along with the documents uploaded on the portal. 4. If the applications received for the scheme are more than the quota then beneficiaries will be selected based on lottery. 5. For the selected beneficiaries, block agriculture officer will conduct document verification and provide pre-sanction. 6. Plastic lining work should begin within 15 days of reception of pre-sanction, otherwise pre-sanction can be cancelled. 7. Material to be used for plastic lining should be as per the quality standards stated in the scheme guidelines. 6. Farmer can purchase the required material from any producer provided the material is as per the standards. 7. Plastic lining work should be completed within 2 months of receiving the pre-sanction. 8. Farmer should intimate the Agriculture assistant and Taluka Agriculture Officer after completion of the work in writing. 9. Mandal Krishi Officer will carry out spot verification of the established nursery and send the report to Block Agriculture Officer. 10. The farm pond will be geo-tagged and a site photo with the beneficiary will be taken. 11. Block Agriculture Officer will recommend transfer of subsidy 12. Subsidy is transferred in the bank account of the farmer and the end of this process.Benefit : Financial assistance of up to Rs. 75000/-
