Description : The major objective of PMKSY is to achieve irrigation at the field level by providing a subsidy for small and marginal farmers.

For SC/ST category farmers 90% subsidy will be provided for those who have a maximum of 2 hectares of land.

Other category farmers those who have a maximum of 2 hectares of land will be given 75% subsidy.

If all and any category farmers who have land above 2 and below 5 hectares, then a 45% subsidy will be provided.Eligibility : 1) Residnt of Karnataka 2) Agricultural land should be in the farmer (that is in the applicant’s name) 3) Should have irrigation facility for their landProcess : 1. Applicant has to submit permission form to Taluka Agriculture/Horticulture officer. 2. Farmer has to first purchase the irrigation equipment 3. Along with Purchase receipts he/she has to submit the final application form. Its copy will be available at Taluka officer. 4. The applicant has to submit the final form to the Taluka Agriculture officer to receive the benefits and he/she will receive the benefit as a grant in his bank account later on. 5. The applicant must not have received the benefits of this service in last 10 years.Benefit : Subsidy upto 90%
