Ladli Laxmi Yojana has been implemented in Madhya Pradesh with the aim of creating positive thinking among the public towards the birth of girl child, improving the sex ratio, improving the educational level, and health condition of girls and laying the foundation stone for their good future.

⦿ Benefits of Scheme Financial aid/allowance, scholarship for eligible Girl children belonging to all religions and cast categories. After online registration of the girl child, a certificate worth Rs 1,43,000/- will be given. That is, The Girl will be given a scholarship of; ‣ Rs 2000/- on admission to class 6th, ‣ Rs 4000/- on admission in class 9th, ‣ Rs 6000/- on admission in class 11th and ‣ Rs 6000/- on admission in class 12th. ‣ Rs. 25000/- on taking admission in graduation or professional course after class 12th (course duration minimum two years), Rs. 25000/- will be given in two equal instalments in the first and last year of the course period. ‣ Rs 100,000/- will be paid on completing the age of 21 years, provided that the beneficiary girl has appeared in the class 12th examination and if she is married, then her marriage should have happened only after completing the minimum prescribed age mentioned in the Child Marriage Prohibition Act 2006.

⦿ Eligibility for the scheme ➼ Eligibility and conditions (for general cases)

1. Girl child born on or after January 1, 2006.
2. Parents should be natives of Madhya Pradesh.
3. Parents should not be income taxpayers.
4. Parents who have two or less children and family planning has been adopted at the birth of the second child.
5. The girl child of the first delivery, who was born on or after April 1, 2008, will be given the benefit without family planning

➼ Amendments to make the scheme effective

1. In a family where there are a maximum of two children and the mother or father has died, registration can be done till the girl child turns 5 years of age. But in such a case, if the woman/man gets married for the second time, and already has two children, then the daughter born from the second marriage will not get the benefit of the scheme.
2. The benefits of the scheme will also be provided to orphan girls or adopted girls.
3. Even if there are twins or triplets of girls born at the time of the first delivery, all three girls will get the benefit of Ladli Lakshmi Yojana.
4. Eligible girls born to women prisoners in jail will be benefited under the scheme.
5. In cases where families have not adopted family planning due to health reasons, cases will be approved for two years instead of one year.
6. The benefit of the scheme will be given to the girl child or child born to a woman who is a rape victim.

1. Photo of the girl child with mother / father
2. Mother or father voter ID card / Family ration card certificate
3. Birth certificate of the girl child
4. Vaccination card of the girl child

⦿ Application Process Any beneficiary can apply under the scheme through internet computer centres, or in Govt service centres, or with Anganwadi workers. all the information about the beneficiary girl child’s birth certificate registration number, girl’s name, date of birth, and mother’s or father’s name can be obtained from the scheme’s website ladlilaxmi.mp.gov.in.
