Description : The scheme provides one time financial assistance of Rs. 3000/- to the senior citizens (above 65 years of age) who are residing in Maharashtra and belong to below poverty line. This financial assistance is to be used by the beneficiaries to purchase assistive aids like spectacles, knee-brace etc. or for participating in the yoga training. *Out of total beneficiaries, 30% will be women. *In case of participation in Yoga training, the organizing entity should be registered with the government.Eligibility : 1. Applicant should be resident of Maharashtra. 2. Age of applicant should be above 65 years. 3. Family annual income of the applicant should be below Rs. 2 lakh 4. Applicant should not have received the same equipment from any other government source for freeProcess : 1. Senior citizens having health issues will be identified by the health department through their regular screening camps. 2. These identified beneficiaries will be evaluated, beneficiary list will be finalized at district level and e-token or receipt of registration will be provided to them. 3. One time financial assistance of Rs. 3000/- will be transferred in the addhar linked bank a/c of the beneficiary. 4. Invoice of purchase of assistive aids/implements has to be authenticated from the Assistant Commissioner (social welfare).
