Scheme Description: Being a State tree of Tamil Nadu, to promote and enhance the cultivation of Palmyrah, Palmyrah Development Mission is implemented in all the districts. Assistance are being given to components such as Distribution of 10 lakh Palmyrah Seed nuts, Establishment of a permanent structure for making palm Value added products in 160 Sq.ft. Utensils for manufacturing Palmyrah Value Added Products, Utensils and implements for Palmyrah Tree climbing farmers and an Award for Best inventor of palmyrah Climbing Device.

Subsidy: 75% subsidy limited to a maximum of Rs.4,500/Unit 50% subsidy limited to a maximum of Rs.4,000/Unit

Eligibility All farmers of all districts except Chennai and The Nilgiris Preference will be given to small and marginal farmers, women farmers and SC / ST farmers.
