Description : Providing financial assistance of around Rs. 1,20,000 to build houses of area 25 sq. mts. to people whose name have been shortlisted as per SECC 2011 data.

Process : 1.Approach Gram Panchayat for the information on Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas or Indira Awas Yojana wait list. 2.Note if it has your name, if not, request the Gram Sevak or Sarpanch for the same. 3.Final selection is done by Gram Panchayat based on the budget available 4.The beneficiary will be entitled for 90 days of unskilled labour under MGNREGA. 5.The government contribution will be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account directly. 6.Scheduled castes(SC),Scheduled tribes(ST),Destitute women,widow women,Retired army officers,Army officers killed in Lashkar operations, Physically and mentally handicapped people,free laborers and minority people will be given preference.

Process after selection: 1.Before the issue of sanction order, the BDO or any block-level official authorized by state government shall capture through mobile application “Awass App” geo-referenced photograph of the beneficiary in front of the house where the beneficiary is currently living, followed by a geo-tagged photograph of the land on which beneficiary proposes to construct the house and upload it in Software. 2.In the case of the landless beneficiary, the state shall ensure that the beneficiary is provided land from the government. For the selected land connectivity and availability of drinking water may be ensured. 3.After registration of the beneficiary details and validation of the bank account details of the beneficiary, a sanction order shall be individually generated in AwasSoft for each beneficiary. 4.The first installment shall be released to the beneficiary electronically to the registered bank account of the beneficiary within 7 working days from the date of the issue of sanction order. 5.No contractor shall be engaged by the state in the construction of houses. House shall be constructed by the beneficiary himself or get it constructed under his/her supervision. 6.Construction of the house should be completed within 12 months from the date of sanction. 7.There shall be a minimum of 3 installments for the provision of assistance. The first shall be given at the time of sanction. The second installment will be given after completion of the plinth/foundation level and third at roof cast/ lintel level.
