Description : PMGAY aims at providing pucca house with basic amenities to all the houseless households and all those households living in kutcha and dilapidated houses. The beneficiary is entitled to 90/95 persondays of unskilled labour from NREGA. The primary motivation of the scheme is to make 44 lac houses in the rural area, by the time of 2022.Eligibility : 1. Eligible beneficiaries include all the houseless and households living in kutcha house as per SECC data.

Prioritization of the beneficiaries will happen based on the deprivation score calculated based on following parameters 2.1 Households with no adult member between ages 16 to 59 2.2 Female-headed households with no adult male member between ages 16 to 59 2.3 Households with no literate adult above 25 years 2.4 Households with any disabled member and no able-bodied adult member 2.5 Landless Households deriving the major part of their income from manual casual labor

Eligible and deprived households belonging to SC/ST/minority cohort will get preference over others.Process : 1. Beneficiary selection will be based on Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011 and then verification by the Gram Sabhas.

After registration of the beneficiary details and the bank account details of the beneficiary are validated, a sanction order shall be individually generated for each beneficiary with a distinct code.

Allotment of house shall be made jointly in the name of husband and wife except in the case of a widow/unmarried /separated person. In the case of persons with disabilities, the allotment will be in the name of such person.

The issue of sanction in favour of the beneficiary will be communicated through SMS to the beneficiary.

The beneficiaries of PMAY-G in addition to being provided financial assistance shall also be offered technical assistance in the construction of the house such as appropriate house designs, incorporating features to address the natural calamities common to the region.
- The construction of house should be completed in 18 months.
- The house shall be constructed or got constructed by the beneficiary himself/herself under PMAY-G. No contractor, Government department/agency should be engaged by the State in construction of houses.Benefit : Rs.120,000 to Rs Rs 1,30,000/- Rs.1,20,000 -financial assistance for construction of house
